Vioxx: missing data?

The New England Journal of Medicine has published an editorial to express its concern about the apparent loss of data from a trial of Vioxx. There were myocardial infarctions in the group taking Vioxx, which were not reported in the trial. If they are taken into account, the statistics become rather different and the difference in risk of myocardial infarction between the two groups in the trial is understated.
