What's new in midwifery - COVID vaccinations and pregnancy

The Guardian, and I am sure other sources, are reporting the proportion of critically ill patients with COVID that are unvaccinated pregnant women, and that pregnant women are not taking the vaccine, or being turned away from vaccination clinics despite official advice.

The Guardian has also reported some personal experiences of pregnant women about the vaccine.

So what is the guidance?   Here are three things specific to the UK (or England, in one case, I guess):

Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, last updated in October 2021,

Royal College of Midwives vaccines Q and A

Public Health England advice on the safety of the vaccine in pregnancy, last updated in April 2021.
