Then, I had an email (and a text) from NHS Test and Trace to find out more about my movements and contacts between certain dates, and who is in my house. Declaring the other residents resulted in the adult people concerned being sent a message about self isolating unless they are exempt (which they are).
Declaring my movements was interesting. It works well if you have been in a definite place, although what happens next I am not sure, especially if the place was somewhere like a supermarket.
It also works less well if you have done last minute Christmas shopping in several places. They were in one definite geographical area, but it was rather difficult to work out what to declare.
One option is that you have been in a place of worship (which I have) and the list of possibilities looked fairly comprehensive.
I had a second code for the NHS COVID-19 app, presumably as a result of the positive PCR test.
And I had a phone call from a local hospital trust (through which I had got the PCR test) to confirm what I needed to do, and the new (last week) arrangement that you can end quarantine early if you have two negative LFTs on day 6 and day 7 (where day 0 = the day of the positive PCR test).
