Positive tests and self isolation episode 4

Not long enough to be an episode, perhaps, but today is Day 6 for me and so I can do a lateral flow test.  If it is negative and I get a second negative on day 7 (24 hours later than the one on day 6), I can end quarantine early.   It was not - a faint T line as well as the C line.

A family member had the same some while back, and reported the positive test.    The COVID-19 app then told them they needed to self isolate for 10 days.  Possibly that was because I had responded to the app's request to me to allow it to share my random codes, to identify people I had been in close proximity to.  I mentioned this in episode 3.   If that was it, then the app cannot tell if the people identified by these random codes have already been contacted because of the questionnaire positive testing people are asked to complete.

Either way I have not reported my day 6 positive test.   If it had been negative I would have reported it!   Under the rules my original ten day self isolation period carries on.   If I test negative on days 7 and 8, or 8 and 9, it can end, otherwise it ends on day 10 anyway.
